Here is a stunning aerial view of Uluru (AKA Ayers Rock) captured by drone. (Note that this was done with special permission from aboriginal leaders.)
The video is only about 1.5 minutes long, but it will give you a new perspective on this sacred site in Australia.
Uluru is one of Australia’s most recognizable natural landmarks. It stands 1,142 ft high, but like an iceberg, the majority of its bulk is below the surface; it has a total circumference of 5.8 mi. Uluru has great spiritual significance to the Yankunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara people, the aboriginal owners of the land on which it is found. (The Australian government does have a 99-year lease on the land.)
